The multi-branch unit provides 6 to14 zones/branches of mixed water, each having a capacity of up to 3.5 GPM (3/4" zone valves are provided), with the combined total output flow not exceeding 35 GPM. A slow-acting zone valve, eliminating the water hammer effect commonly experienced with quick-acting valves, controls flow to each zone.

Though the panel is not supplied with thermostats (but is suitable for use with HeatLink Thermostats), it has a standard factory wired panel terminal strip where a thermostat may be field wired. A pressure bypass valve provides a minimum flow through the panel when there is a limited demand for heat. Mixed water is provided by a 3-way valve which is controlled by an outdoor reset control.
